Easy Steps to Chinese for Kids is a series of Chinese textbooks specially designed for children from non-Chinese backgrounds. It includes four levels, each of which consists of two volumes: a and b (each with a CD), accompanied by workbooks a and b, picture cards (for students) and word cards (for teachers to use in class).
There are four characters in this series, namely Ding Yi, Tian Li, Jingjing and Lele, who are primary school students from China and abroad. With beautifully designed illustrations, simple sentences and dialogs, and lovely songs, it stimulates children's interest in learning Chinese and helps them build a solid Chinese foundation by acquiring basic Chinese knowledge such as numbers, basic strokes, family members and everyday expressions. Chinese culture is introduced in concise language and illustrated with beautiful pictures on the last two pages of each volume, along with some colorful stickers for practice.
