Nice ancient China pop up card to surprise someone with a city trip Xi'an. The anticipation is usually as much fun as the trip itself. Or as a mooe reminder of a visit to this historic city.
The Qin Dynasty emerged after the state of Qin succeeded in conquering six rival states in China in 221 BC. Given the size of the new empire, Koing Ying Zhen of Qin thought it more appropriate to vest himself with the imperial title. He called himself ' first emperor'(Shi Huang Di). The Terracotta Army is the name for the archaeological discovery of about 8,000 terracotta figures that were given as grave goods to the Qin shi huangdi that first emperor of China. The "army" is located between Mount Li and modern-day Xi'an. This overblown tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi(259 B.C.-210 B.C.) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
